Building a Fund Development Plan for Exponential Growth

Fundraising success is a direct result of intentional planning. Whether you are in the early stages of creating a fund development strategy or looking to update your plan, this workshop is for you! During the session, we’ll walk through the key steps needed to develop a solid and achievable plan, from analyzing your current fundraising activities to evaluating opportunities and threats, creating a culture of philanthropy, putting a measurement framework into place to track and analyze results, and more. Attendees will get a head start on developing their plan and leave with actionable tips for achieving annual fundraising goals.

Media Training: Making the Most of Media Opportunities

You’ve received an email from a local reporter about GOTR. You’re eager to call her back. But wait… Perhaps there is more you should do before engaging with a member of the media. Every interaction with the media is a promising opportunity to spotlight the enduring impact of Girls on the Run. But if you are unprepared, your message can sound shallow, you can get tripped up by difficult questions, and your council’s reputation may be affected. Attend this workshop to learn how to deliver key messages with a star-powered flourish! Anticipating and elegantly answering tricky questions and maximizing every interaction with the media will also be covered. Led by communications consultant and national board member Deborah (she/her) Pleva, a.k.a. Coach Deb, this session will help you make the most of media opportunities and become a stellar spokesperson.
